// waiting on wednesday: winter by marissa mayer

"Waiting on Wednesday" is an event, that happens every week and is hosted by Breaking the Spine. It spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's pre-publication that I can't wait to get my hands on is Winter by Marissa Meyer

Title: Winter, (The Lunar Chronicles, #2)
Author: Marissa Meyer
Publication: 10th of November 2015 by Feiwel and Friends
Genre: Sci-Fi, Fantasy

Synopsis:

Princess Winter is admired by the Lunar people for her grace and kindness, and despite the scars that mar her face, her beauty is said to be even more breathtaking than that of her stepmother, Queen Levana.

Winter despises her stepmother, and knows Levana won’t approve of her feelings for her childhood friend–the handsome palace guard, Jacin. But Winter isn’t as weak as Levana believes her to be and she’s been undermining her stepmother’s wishes for years. Together with the cyborg mechanic, Cinder, and her allies, Winter might even have the power to launch a revolution and win a war that’s been raging for far too long.

Can Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter defeat Levana and find their happily ever afters?

Blurb:

This is it, guys! It's last book of the series! I kind of can't wait to know how Marissa is going to end the incredible series but at the same time I don't want it to end yet because the characters are so special to me. It's going to be one hell of a war to defeat Levana and I'm worried of the possibility that someone will die. Winter consists of 824 pages and a lot of things could happen. I hope that Winter starts off filled with action and is fast-paced because I've noticed that every book in the series tend to suffer with very slow start. It always takes me about 100 pages till I get really into it. I want to see Cinder become queen and Kai become emperor then rule the earth and moon. Of course, work on their relationship since they're now reunited. I hope sparks will fly and rekindle feelings that they once fell for each other. I long for the day Wolf and Scarlet gets reunited. It's going to be bitter-sweet. I also can't wait for Captain Carswell Thorne and Cress to develop their budding their relationship.

Have you read any of the books from Lunar Chronicles yet? If not, what the hell go pick it now! Are you as excited as me to get my copy of Winter? Let me know on the comments below.

  1. I love this series so much! I am not a huge fan of sci fi, but still, I adored the world building and concept of Lunar Chronicles! Plus the characters! My favourite is probably Thorne! He's adorable!:D

  3. I've been waiting for Winter ever since I finished Cress when it was first released so... It"s been a while! I think it's my most anticipated release of this year, I really hope I won't be disappointed because I loved the first three books so much. I hope all of my babies will be okay at the end of it.

  6. I really wish I could wait on this with you but I didn't like Cinder and because of it I haven't wanted to read any of the other books even though I know I should at least try the second one before giving up on the series in general. I hope that you love this one though!

  8. I'm super excited for this book and for the series to end! And the only reason I'm excited for that is because I HAVEN'T READ IT YET! Why? Because I hate waiting for books, and because I keep saying, "Oh, look, the Lunar Chronicles, I should start this book!" *sees another book* "Oh, nevermind". And yeah, that pretty much sums the story of my life, haha, but after "Winter" comes out, I'll have no excuse to not-read this series! RIght?!
